Residents in the City of Dallas are permitted to set out a maximum of 10 cubic yards of brush and bulky trash per month during their assigned collection week. A 10-cubic-yard pile roughly equals the size of eight standard washing machines or an area 8 feet long, 6 feet wide, and 6 feet high. Under Dallas city code, collection piles can be set out starting at 7:00 AM on the Thursday prior to your collection week and must be placed no later than 7:00 AM on Monday of that week. Piles exceeding 10 cubic yards or containing unauthorized construction demolition debris are subject to oversized collection surcharges starting at 60 dollars.
