Liquid paint and household chemicals cannot go into Republic Services curbside trash carts or bulk piles in Clark County. If you have latex paint with less than an inch left, you can dry it out by mixing in cat litter or sawdust, or by leaving the lid off in the sun until solid. Once the paint is completely dry and hard, the open can may be put in your regular household trash cart. For wet oil-based paints, thinners, pool chemicals, pesticides, and motor oil, residents must use the free Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) drop-off facility at Republic Services Gowan Transfer Station (5601 Gowan Rd) or Henderson Transfer Station (560 W Warm Springs Rd).
