Help neighbors verify whether their street is delayed by upcoming holidays so cans aren't left out on empty curbs:
Check address-specific pickup days, recycling week parity, and local transfer stations:
In Dallas-Fort Worth, residential pickup generally slides forward by one business day when an observed municipal holiday falls on a weekday. Days earlier in the week prior to the holiday run on normal schedules.
Curbside solid waste, recycling, and bulk collection across Dallas-Fort Worth is managed by City of Dallas, City of Fort Worth, Plano & Arlington and serviced primarily by City of Dallas Sanitation Services & Fort Worth Environmental Services.
Set carts out after 6:00 PM the evening prior and remove from curb by 8:00 AM the day following collection to avoid municipal sanitation citations.
In Dallas, brush and bulk trash collection occurs once per month. Each neighborhood is assigned a specific week of the month (1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Monday). Items must be placed curbside by 7:00 AM on Monday of your assigned week.
Both Dallas and Fort Worth allow up to 10 cubic yards of brush and bulky waste per monthly collection (roughly equivalent to 8 standard pickup truck beds).
