Check address-specific pickup days, recycling week parity, and local transfer stations:
In Denver, residential pickup generally slides forward by one business day when an observed municipal holiday falls on a weekday. Days earlier in the week prior to the holiday run on normal schedules.
Curbside solid waste, recycling, and bulk collection across Denver is managed by City & County of Denver and serviced primarily by City and County of Denver (DOTI) & Waste Connections.
Set containers out by 7:00 AM on collection day or after 6:00 PM the evening before. Retrieve carts by 7:00 PM collection day.
Denver charges residents based on the size of their black trash cart (Small 35-gal is ~$9/mo, Medium 65-gal is ~$13/mo, Large 95-gal is ~$21/mo). Recycling (purple cart) and composting (green cart) are included at no additional cost.
Recycling is collected every other week on the same day as your weekly trash pickup, following an alternating Week A / Week B schedule.
Large Item Pickup occurs once every 8 weeks in Denver. Residents can place up to 5 large household items curbside.
